Silent Stage
Site Specific. First Hand. Experiences
A drawing room play was the common practice, in Victorian era times, of entertaining guests in their own home, and The Drama Merchant aims to recreate this practice with a site-specific event which engages and acknowledges that the performance can only happen in that specific location.

Our Story
A silent stage is a theatrical event with no objects to produce excessive amplified sound, or lighting, during a performance and is limited to an audience anywhere between 14 or 40 creating a special kind of audience intimacy.
Becoming a versatile creative force, The Drama Merchant’s site specific shows blur the boundaries between immersive, traditional theatre, and first hand experiences; as the audience member becomes the observer during the event, through unconventional staging techniques.
Tickets are not on sale to the general public for these shows, unless otherwise stated, so
